Happy Birthday Simply Sweet Announcements!

We're so happy to have been in business a year! It's so amazing to have made it this far, and I've enjoyed every moment of it. I absolutely love designing, working with clients, and meeting new people. Initially I started using Paint Shop Pro, but I upgraded to Photoshop shortly afterwards. After learning as much as I could I started doing website design, and then I decided to take a step forward and move on the decision to begin an announcement site.

One of the key things I wanted was to maintain a high quality site with fantastic announcement designs, but I wanted these designs and products to be within reach of everyone. With the expenses of a newborn, the cost of college education, and wedding vendors, spending tons of money on announcements or invitation isn't always feasible. I wanted to make it so that everyone could afford custom announcements, but they could also choose from a wide selection of pre-designed announcements.

On my journey to establish Simply Sweet Announcements, I have made some wonderful friends who may have started out as clients or someone answering a question I've had, but it has progressed to so much more than that. I would like to thank everyone who has helped in making Simply Sweet succeed, and I'd like to make a special thank you to my husband whose point of view made some decisions about the business much simpler and for supporting me.

Beginning soon, we're going to introduce more custom drawn notecards to the site that Nicole will be creating. I'm very excited about this and once you start to see them, I think you will, too!

I would also like to introduce a new plan for Simply Sweet Announcements. We are working with a photographer, Mona, who owns the site Making Memories Together. She has graciously allowed us to begin using her photographs in our announcement designs, so within the next month we will start to showcase those designs. The designs with her photographs in them will be marked within the information area, so if you are in need of a photographer, you can contact her at making-memories-together@comcast.net.

Using her photographs will be wonderful for you in several ways, first and foremost is that it will mean a constant flow of new designs, so that ordering a pre-design will be that much harder. Plus, it will give you more ideas to use for your photographs when you get them done. Also, if you work with Mona to have your photographs taken, there is no need to worry about not being able to get a copyright release to use your photographs in your announcements.
